Seminar on digital technologies at Agriculture University Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi :17 January: Speakers stressed to enhance the use of space-related technologies, applications, services and information to manage the water resources in adequate manners to fulfill the needs of country in agriculture. Agriculture University and Chinese university sign MoU

Rawalpindi :20 December: Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) and Shihezi University of China (SUC) signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) to extend the scientific cooperation between both universities, here on Thursday. Prof. Dr. Qamar Zaman Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR and Prof. Dr. Fenghua Zhang of SUC signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

FJWU observes silence in memory of APS martyrs

Rawalpindi:17 December: Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) organised an event in the memory of APS martyrs of December 16, 2014. One minute silence, for the APS martyrs, was observed by the staff, faculty members and students. FJM University approves hiring of officers, doctors

LAHORE:17 December: Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid chaired 15th syndicate meeting at Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) here on Monday. Syndicate members took important decisions during the meeting under the chair of Dr Yasmeen Rashid. On the recommendations of selection board approval was granted for appointment of officers and doctors from grade 16 to grade 20 during syndicate meeting.

Seminar on role of youth in eradicating corruption at FWU

Rawalpindi :07 December:Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (r) Javed Iqbal on Friday said that NAB is committed to eradicate the menace of corruption by pursuing the policy of accountability for all indiscriminately. If accountability is crime NAB will continue committing such crime for making Pakistan corruption free. Educational activities continue during protest

Rawalpindi:31 October:Education activities continued without any major hurdle vis-à-vis JUI-F’s Azadi March in the provincial metropolis here on Wednesday. Except for venue of the march i.e, Azadi Chowk, the rest of the areas of the City were relatively calm also because of the ongoing shutdown strike by the traders. Seminar on dengue control and prevention held at AAUR

Rawalpindi:28th August: An awareness seminar on Dengue Control and Prevention held at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Tuesday, with an aim to raise awareness among the masses against dengue and to observe all precautionary measures for the protection from this disease. Speakers recommended various preventive measures against the dengue mosquitoes and stressed on collective preventive measures against the dengue menace. They urged the university employees and students to ensure cleanliness of the campus and homes.

Tree plantation campaign started at PMAS-AAUR

Rawalpindi:21 August: The tree plantation campaign has started at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Tuesday, with an aim to plant tree as part of the Greener Pakistan Initiative to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman, Vice Chancellor, PMAS-AAUR was the chief guest who formally inaugurated the campaign of tree plantation by planting a sapling at University Research Farm Koont.

Life support training at Arid university

Rawalpindi :20th July: Two days Basic Life Support and First Aid training commenced at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), here on Friday. The aim of this training is to provide the training to make university’s staff expert in the field of emergency to handle serious and life-threatening situations while proper medical response is still on the way. PMAS-AAUR Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qamar-uz-Zaman was the chief guest while Mubeen-ur-Rasheed from Rescue 1122 was a trainer. More than 100 University staff members are participating in the training.

Divisional Training College Workshop

LAHORE:20th July: The Punjab Cooperatives Department Friday started a three-day training workshop about the principles of financial and office management for its district-level accountants. A total of 47 accountants are taking part in this workshop which started at Cooperatives Divisional Training College, Faisalabad. Different trainers delivered lectures about various matters pertaining to the department.

FDE abolishes school, college wings in federal capital

RAWALPINDI:25 June: In a surprising move, the apex education regulator of the federal capital has decided to abolish its school and college wings while revising portfolios of six directors by handing them greater responsibilities. According to the notification issued by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) director general, six directors were given additional responsibilities which will come into effect from July 1.
