Rawalpindi Medical University signs MoUs for research

Rawalpindi :15 January: The administration of Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU) signed three memorandums of understanding with three different institutions including two universities here at the old campus of Rawalpindi Medical College on Tuesday in the area of research and development particularly involving Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Bio-medical Image Processing.

Rawalpindi:21 December:Federal Government Educational Institutions Cantonments & Garrisons (C/G) Directorate is making all out efforts to provide state-of-the-art opportunities to its students to polish their talent for their national and international recognition. According to spokesman of FGEIs (C/G) Directorate Wajid Masaud, to nourish the abilities of students of FGEIs (C/G), An International Level, category ‘A’ FIFA Coach Shahid Khan has been arranged to select and train male students of Rawalpindi and Chaklala Regions.

Fun galore at Anglo School

Rawalpindi :05 December: Children were having time of their life, giggling, running, looking for their friends and chit chatting with them right in front of their teachers, but nobody reprimanded them or told them to remain silent; because they were there on a day out with their friends and families at the Funfair 2019 of the Anglo Arabic Higher Secondary School. It was a day filled with joy and excitement. There were food stalls, fun games, juggler’s show, rides, tall man, music and lot of fun activities. Lots of valuable gifts were distributed through several lucky draws.

Convocation of FG Postgraduate College for Women

Rawalpindi :26 April: The 30th convocation of F.G Postgraduate College for Women, Kashmir Road was held on Thursday. It was organised to award degrees, rolls of honour and merit certificates to the graduates of B.A, B.Sc, M.A Urdu for the Session 2015-17. Maj Gen Nigar Johar, TI(M), Commandant PEMH, Rawalpindi was the chief guest on this occasion. The proceedings of the ceremony started with recitation from the Holy Quran by Wajeeha Tabassum. Nighat Younis presented ‘Naat’ (SAW), national anthem was presented by Surraya, Nighat, Sajar and Muniba.

Prize distribution ceremony at F G Postgraduate College for Women

Rawalpindi :15 March: To commend the consistent efforts of students who excelled in academics and co-curricular activities during 2018-2019, the annual prize distribution of FG Postgraduate College for Women, Kashmir Road, was held in the Salma Masud Auditorium here on Thursday. Prof. Rana Arshad Qazi, Principal FG College, Kashmir Road was the honorable chief guest on this occasion. The ceremony started with the recitation of Quranic verses by Mehwish Shaheen. Nighat Younas presented ‘Naat’.

Sports Gala held at Viqar-un-Nisa College

Rawalpindi:26 Feb: Govt. Viqar-un-Nisa Post Graduate College (W), Rawalpindi organised its Annual Sports Gala here on Monday under the patronage of Principal of the college, Prof. Dr. Saira Mufti. The competition featured numerous games and over a hundred students participated in them. The grounds were decorated with colourful banners, flags and welcoming notes. The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Prof. Dr. Saira Mufti. Balloons were released in the air and traditional enthusiasm of the students was observed.

Mehfil-e-Milad’ at Viqar-un-Nisa College Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi :06 December: ‘Eid Milad-un-Nabi’ was celebrated with great religious fervor and enthusiasm in Govt. Viqar-un- Nisa Postgraduate College for Women, Rawalpindi under the auspices of Islamic Studies Department here on Wednesday. The programme started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Ms. Arooba Zafar of B.A (Part-1) conducted the programme. Students from different classes recited and read ‘Naats’ along with ‘Ahadis’ and ‘Hikayas’ which explicitly show their deep love and respect towards the Last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him).

NUST College of Engineering held Open House & Job Fair

Rawalpindi:09 May: Open House & Job Fair 2018 was held at NUST College of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering (EME), here on Tuesday. Dr. Samar Mubarakmand, renowned scientist, former Chairman NESCOM and former Member Science & Technology Planning Commission of Pakistan, graced the occasion as chief guest. In his address he emphasised on further strengthening industry-academia relationships for rapid scientific and technological development in the country. GOVT Viqar-un-Nisa College organised Pakistan Day ceremony

Rawalpindi:03 April: To commemorate Pakistan Day, a ceremony was organised at Govt. Viqar-un-Nisa Postgraduate College for Women, here on Friday. The guest of honour for the event was Director Colleges Rawalpindi, Malik Muhammad Asghar. A documentary was played, highlighting the historical importance of Pakistan Day. A tableau was presented by the students, illuminating the cultural diversity of Pakistan and reflecting the solidarity among all its provinces.

Rawalpindi Viqarun Nisa College Inter collegiates debate contests

Rawalpindi:February 24: The division level three Urdu debate contests under the ‘Punjab Chief Minister Competitions 2017-18’ were held at Government Viqar-un-Nisa Postgraduate College for Women, on Friday, says a press release. The objective of holding these contests was to explore the inner talents of students and boost their confidence. The principal of the host college, Professor Dr. Saira Mufti was the chief guest on the occasion.
