Swiss ambassador visits University of Veterinary Sciences at Pattoki

LAHORE :21 March: Swiss Ambassador to Pakistan Thomas Kolly visited the Ravi Campus of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Pattoki on Wednesday and stressed the need for increasing public-private partnerships in view of the climate change challenges. The ambassador held a meeting with Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and senior faculty members to discuss the climate change, the current year’s prolonged winter season’s bad effects on agriculture and livestock, water conservation and public-private cooperation to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Prize distribution ceremony at F G Postgraduate College for Women

DC visits exam centers to check cheating

Rawalpindi :15 March: The Deputy Commissioner, Rawalpindi Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa made surprise visits to different examination centers to check cheating among students on Thursday. He also checked security arrangements all around examination centers and directed police officials to keep an eye on suspected persons. The Chief Officer (Education) Qazi Zahoor was also with Deputy Commissioner during the visits.

Punjab govt inaugurate “Enrolment and Retention Campaign

LAHORE :March 13:The Punjab government will formally inaugurate “Enrolment and Retention Campaign 2019” on March 20 for which instructions have been communicated to the officials across the province. The enrolment campaign, which had already been started from March 1, will be formally launched by the chief minister under “Enrolment and Retention Campaign 2019” in the provincial metropolis. The deputy commissioners (DCs) will lead the campaign in their respective districts.

Sports Gala of Ameer Uddin Medical College

Rs793.3m released for education

LAHORE:09 March: The Punjab government has released an amount of Rs793.362 million to 36 Districts Education Authorities (DEAs) of the province. This technical supplementary grant is for 922 ongoing schemes of reflected in Annual Development Programme (ADP-2018-19) of School Education Department during the third quarter of financial year 2018-19. The district Vehari will get maximum share of Rs117.836 million, followed by Faisalabad Rs64.537 million and Multan Rs56.466 million. DEA Lahore will receive Rs31.931 million while Jhelum has the minimum share of Rs1.120 million only.The news.
