Bahawalpur:05-09:Director General, Rabta Aalmi Islami, Pakistan, Abduhu Muhammad Ibrahim Ateeq visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and called on the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar at Vice Chancellor's Secretariat. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor briefed him about various academic activities and developmental programs in progress. Director General, Rabta Aalmi Islami, Pakistan, assured his full support and cooperation in university's expansion and development. He further added that his institute will provide financial assistance for the payment of fee and other expenses of those university students who belong to flood effected areas. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar requested to introduce IUB in the Arab world for which Rabta Aalmi Islami, can play a vital role. Mr. Abduhu Muhammad Ibrahim Ateeq said that Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia is putting best efforts in getting IUB awarded degrees recognized in Saudi Universities. As a result, the enrollment of students from Saudi Arab and Middle East for Ph.D studies would be facilitated smoothly
. He further disclosed that from next year one person from IUB will be invited by Rabta Aalmi Islami to perform Haj. He also announced to construct a magnificent mosque at Abbasia Campus funded by Rabta Aalmi Islami, which will truly represent Islamic identity of the IUB. Vice Chancellor also hosted an Iftaar dinner in honor of the respected guest which was attended by deans of Faculties, German Scholar Hartmut Wellerdt was also there as special guest. Director General also presented copies of Holy Quran and dates to the Vice Chancellor during this event.
