Undergraduate convocation of AMC held

Rawalpindi:January 28:The 29th undergraduate convocation of the Army Medical College (AMC) was held at the AMC on Friday, says a press release. Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, NI(M), SBt, awarded degrees to 175 graduates of 30th MBBS and 9th BDS courses.

While congratulating the passing out graduates, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman said that the tireless efforts of the teachers in undergraduate and postgraduate training as well as in research are indeed commendable and he is confident that the faculty will keep on grooming the young minds into well-rounded human beings and doctors par excellence. He rendered sincere and high tribute to the Army Medical College that has set out to fulfil this essential and monumental task.

Students achieving distinction were awarded medals & certificates in a ceremony coupled with the college convocation. Every year nearly 200 cadets of medical & dental disciplines graduate from this college.

Army Medical College is an elite medical institute of the country comprising qualified and experienced teachers in all subjects. It was established in 1977 and was affiliated with Quaid-i-Azam University. Army Medical College was recognised by General Medical Council, UK in 1982. Fellowship programme commenced in 1996.
