Students show interest in children’s film festival

LAHORE: The 4th Lahore International Children’s Film Festival continued on Tuesday. A large number of students from various educational institutions participated at the event. The festival is ongoing at Ali Auditorium of the Ali Institute of Education. Twenty-two movies were shown on the second day of the festival.` They included ‘Taking Chances’, ‘Lost and Found’, and ‘Rumors’. Children from the marginalised section of society and with low-income background are also being invited to the film festival. Little Art, a non-profit organisation that aims to employ arts for educating children and youth, has organised the festival.` In 2011, the festival was held in three cities but this time is expected to tour six cities – Lahore, Peshawar, Islamabad, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad.` Students from the University of Management and Technology, University of Central Punjab, Kinnaird College, Beaconhouse National University, The University of Engineering and Technology and National College of Arts have volunteered at the festival.Daily Times.
