Lahore:01 February: Punjab University's Student Teacher Centre (STC) organised the interdepartmental Seerat-un-Nabi (S.A.W.W) quiz contest in the Al-Razi Hall of the Centre for Undergraduate Studies on Tuesday.
The teams of students from 22 departments of the varsity participated in the contest. Maulana Zahid Rashdi was the chief guest while Director Student Affairs Iftikhar Ahmad Chaudhry and a large number of students were also present.
The team from School of Biological Sciences, comprising Nasir Ahmad Shakir and Ashraf Hussain Hashmi, clinched first position, team comprising Hassan Raza and Mudassar Jamil from Urdu Department stood second while team comprising Sami Ullah Khan and Abu Zar Ghaffari from Space Science Department bagged third position.
Addressing the students, Maulana Zahid Rashdi advised them to get knowledge of Quran and Islam. Later, he gave away cash prizes and certificates to winning students.
