Notice for reduction in fee

LAHORE:09 September: The Judicial Activism Panel has sent a notice to the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), asking it to reduce fee of private medical colleges across Punjab.
Judicial Activism Panel Chairman Muhammad Azhar Siddique sent the notice to the president and registrar of PMDC, stating that private medical colleges grant admission to those students who could not get admission in public sector institutions due to less marks.
“Students are left with no option but to get admission to these colleges and have to pay huge fee. They are also forced to pay fee for examination, sports, medical, extra-curricular activities and magazine,” Siddique said. “This accumulating amount comes to around Rs 600,000 per annum and students who are unable to pay this fee have to either abandon studies or adopt arrange resources to continue studies.Daily Times.
