Lahore : February 03:LAHORE College for Women University (LCWU) Lahore has announced admissions for Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT), an evening programme offered by varsity’s Department of Education.
A spokesperson for LCWU said the Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching was designed keeping in view the recent National Education Policy statement and the Government of Punjab’s recruitment decision that all secondary and higher secondary level (grade IX-XII) teachers were required to have 1-year post graduate teacher training/qualification after MA/MSc/BS (Four-year) degrees.
This new programme focuses on professional training of prospective teachers in specialised areas preparing them to meet both national and international professional standards for secondary school teachers.
Women having sixteen years of education or four years of education after HSSC/FA/FSc in school subjects: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, English, Pakistan Studies, Islamic Studies, Urdu, History, Geography, Home Economics, Fine Arts and Psychology can apply for admission for this one yearly diploma.
The application forms can be obtained and submitted from LCWU’s Information Office till February 9, 2012 while the list of eligible candidates will be displayed on February 13, 2012 along with the date of interview.The news.
