ISO Faisalabad Protests Against Anti-Islam Film Continue

FAISALABAD:September 19: The Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen and Imamia Students Organisation have demanded that those prepared and screened the blasphemous film on internet in the US should be handed over to Pakistan so that deterrent punishment could be awarded to them.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, MWM and ISO leaders Dr Iftikhar Naqvi and Syed Shakeel Asghar said that retaliation of the Muslim world against the blasphemous film was a natural phenomena. They demanded that the Muslim states should boycott the American products if the US did not take any action against these elements. They said that the release of the blasphemous film on internet had jeopardised the world peace and suggested that the Muslim world should forge unity to thwart such blasphemous acts in future. They condemned the police firing and baton charge on demonstrators in Karachi, who were trying to reach the American Consulate to handover a memorandum, condemning the release of blasphemous film. They announced that they would take out a big protest rally in Faisalabad on September 23 against the blasphemous film.
Meanwhile, different organisations of doctors and paramedics staged a demonstration at Allied Hospital Chowk. They blocked the road for an hour to condemn the release of blasphemous film. The Private Hospitals Association, Young Doctors Organisation, Social Security Doctors Association and Punjab Medical College Doctors Association leaders demanded the US ban the screening of blasphemous film on internet.
