Faisalabad: 13 Jan: Government College University (GCU) Faisalabad has announced admissions in M.A History and M.A International Relations ( 2 Years Morning and Evening) .
The schedule and eligibility criteria for admissions to M.A. History and M.A. International Relations are given as under:
Last Date for receipt of Admission Forms January 23, 2012
Display of First Merit List January 30, 2012
Payment of dues January 31 to February 02, 2012
Display of Second Merit List February 06, 2012
Payment of dues February 07 to 09, 2012
Left over cases February 10 to 14, 2012
Commencement of Classes: February 15, 2012
Eligibility:-
All Gender having domicile of Punjab are eligible for admission.
The candidates who have passed BA/BSc/B.Com or equivalent examination in 2011 and 2010 will be considered for admission for respective programmes.
The following shall be eligible to apply for admission:
Have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate.
Have obtained 45% marks in the subject in which admission is being sought (where applicable)
The maximum age limit is 26 years on the closing date.
Admission on reserved seats will be granted as per University policy (where applicable).
Admission is granted strictly on merit in accordance with the criteria laid down by the University.
No Objection Certificate’ (NOC) is required from the candidates, who have passed B.A./B.Sc./
B.Com. or equivalent examination from institutions other than GC University Faisalabad.
University reserves the right to refuse admission to any candidate without assigning any reason.
How to Apply:-
Prospectus will be available the National Bank of Pakistan Jinah Colony Branch (University Booth) and the Bank of Punjab, Katcheri Bazar Branch (University Booth) Faisalabad on payment of Rs. 700/-
The details will also be available at Information Centre (Phone No. +92-41-9200886), GC University, Faisalabad, Pakistan (9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday on all working days). Candidates can also download Admission Form from the University website: www.gcuf.edu.pk and attach a bank draft of Rs. 700/- in favor of Treasurer, GC University, Faisalabad. The Admission Forms complete in all respects should reach in the Directorate of Advanced Studies for Master Progammes by January 23, 2011 during office hours.
Quota for Morning Programmes:
Besides the open merit, the candidates may apply against the reserved seats (2% seats for sports, 2% seats for disabled, 1% for University staff, 1% for children of University teachers, and 1% for children of University non-teaching employees, 5% for FATA/FANA and Balochistan, 2% for co-curricular activities and 5% for overseas Pakistanis).
Quota for Evening Programmes:
Besides the open merit, the candidates may apply against the reserved seates (1% for University staff, 1% for children of University teachers and 1% for children of University non-teaching employees)
