Faisalabad: UAF Vice-Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan inaugurated a four-day book fair at the university on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Iqrar termed the book fair an encouraging move towards boosting up reading habits among students. He said the objective of the event was to promote book reading habit in the society and ensure provision of books at discount rates. He said the habit of reading books was very important not only for education and research but also to develop one's character and personality. He said the trend of book reading was decreasing due to the use of internet. The book fair consists of 32 stalls and offers 0.15 million books to students at subsidised rates.
