BISE Lahore Intermediate Exam Result 56.85pc Pass

LAHORE:September 09:The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE), Lahore, on Saturday announced the results of Intermediate Annual Examination 2012 according to which 56.85 percent remained the overall pass percentage this year.
A total of 1,51,646 candidates appeared in the exam out of which 86,213 candidates passed.
The results was announced at a medal awarding ceremony in honour of position holders at Alhamra where PML-N leader MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif was the chief guest while heads of institutions and position holders and their parents also attended the ceremony.
The toppers were awarded medals, merit certificates and cash prizes amounting to Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 & Rs 10,000 along with gold, silver and bronze medals among the first, second and third position, holders respectively. The overall topper was also awarded a laptop.
In his welcome address, BISE Chairman Muhammad Nasrullah Virk said that, for the first time in the history of the board, Result Late (R.L.)/Error Free results had been announced. He appreciated the efforts of the BISE employees as well as the teachers, who worked day and night in preparation of results.It is pertinent to mention that the position holders of the Intermediate Annual Examination 2012 were already announced by the BISE Lahore like other boards of the province on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said the culture of corruption; nepotism and politics of false promises would have to end to stop the brain-drain. He said around 100,000 talented youth left the country every year owing to non recognition of their talent.
Hamza said educated youth should unite to bring the rulers on right path. He also criticized the Federal government, saying the rulers had nothing to do with the sovereignty of the country. He said those who wanted to divide the country into more provinces on linguistic basis were in fact enemies of Pakistan. He said the PML-N was against creation of new province on the linguistics basis, adding, “We want new provinces on the administrative basis.”
