47 GCU workers terminated; 100 suspended
FAISALABAD:January 28: The VC of the GC University has terminated 47 employees and suspended 100 others without issuing any notice. All the employees had been working on contract for the last four years. The affected employees have termed the act of the vice-chancellor as misuse of power. They said that the VC had suspended 100 employees to re-hire them on daily wages. They appealed to Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa, the chancellor of the university, to look into the matter.The news.
