LAHORE, Sept 16: The process of receiving applications for a three-year training course for nurses in the Lahore General Hospital was completed on Saturday.
According to a press release, at least 1,600 female candidates have applied against 56 seats, however, the admission will be made only on merit. A total of 2,005 admission forms had been issued, it said.
Postgraduate Medical Institute Principal Prof Anjum Habib Wohra directed the Nursing School administration of LGH to ensure rules and regulations while preparing merit lists.
He made it clear that admission would be made under the government policy and purely on merit and candidates who passed FSc exam would be preferred.
He said that educational documents and domiciles of the selected candidates would be verified and the admission would be cancelled in case of bogus documents.
Free accommodation and scholarship would be given during the training course, he said.Dawn.
