LAHORE:03 December:Salman Sufi, director general of Punjab chief minister's Strategic Reforms Unit, has been selected as an honoree for the Voices of Solidarity Award 2017. Salman Sufi of Pakistan joined the list of the top five men selected for the award from around the world for working to end violence against women. Prominent personalities, including former US Vice-President Joe Biden and UN Secretary General ANTÓNIO GUTERRES are also on the list. The award will be presented to them by Vital Voices Global Partnership, an organisation under the chairmanship of Hillary Clinton, at the IAC HQ, New York City, on December 4. Salman Sufi's dedicated efforts and significant contributions to the cause of woman empowerment in Punjab earned him the status of a male champion for the cause.
