This year, PUCIT expects to receive a record number of applicants due to this hassle-free, automated, and online process at their doorstep. Every year, PUCIT attracts more than 16,000 students from all over the country to appear in the entrance tests for admission to the various academic degree programmes in the college. The system has been built in-house and hosted on a cloud to ensure high availability and good performance. The automated solution allows students to register online, print challan forms, pay entrance test fee to their nearest Habib Bank Limited (HBL) branches and print roll number slips. The system will greatly facilitate students to complete the process of registration without visiting the campus. Previously, students were required to travel to the college premises and spend considerable time in long queues to complete the entrance test registration process.Published in The Express Tribune, July 16th, 2017.
