Rawalpindi:August 11:Taking back the decision of submission of the admission fee in the banks, the provincial education department has directed the administration of the public sector colleges to collect admission fee of the students in their respective offices.
According to the directives issued by the provincial government, the students would now submit admission fee in the colleges because the earlier decision for submission of the fee in the banks has been taken back due to security reasons.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Punjab government has issued security alert in the province after the tragic Quetta blast that claimed lives of over 70 people.
The purpose of issuing these directives is to avoid any terrorist incident because if thousands of students gather at the banks to submit their admission fee then it may provide an opportunity to the terrorist elements to achieve their targets.
The administration of the colleges has also been directed to constitute monitoring committees to keep vigil over any unlawful activity on the part of the staff workers like demand for extra money for submission of the fee. An official said the decision would not put any burden on the college administration. The news.
