UAF seminar on Collective Action for Knowledge Economy using Technology

Fasilaabad:24 May:These views were expressed by speakers at a seminar on the theme of “Collective Action for Knowledge Economy using Technology”. The seminar was arranged by University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) at New Senate on Thursday. The seminar was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf while former vice chancellor of University of Veterinary and Animal Science, Dr Muhammad Nawaz, was the guest of honour on the occasion. Addressing on the occasion, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf said only knowledge economies were excelling with each passing day in the modern era. He said strong academia-industry linkage coupled with out-of-the-box solutions, and innovative ideas would help the issues and alleviate poverty. He said the SDGs were focusing on 17-point key factors which will pave the way for better future and prosperity. He said the first four goals in the SDGs were no poverty, zero hunger, good health, well-being and quality education. He said joint efforts were required to cope with the challenges of daunting issues. He said that the university was making all-out efforts to address these issues with quality education, and research work. He said that it is imperative to make the interventions to reduce the import bill and boost up exports.The Express Tribune, May 24th,
