GC University Celebrates Mental Health Week

Lahore:20 May: The Government College University (GCU) Lahore Psychology Department marked the Mental Health Week by highlighting the latest trends and researches in the field of developmental psychology on Monday.
GCU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq ur Rahman has inaugurated the celebrations which began with a ‘Poster Competition’ held at GCU Psychology Department. As many as 120 students from eight educational institutions have took part in the competition and put on display more than hundred posters which highlighted the miseries of people, and effect of different negative trends including unemployment, poverty, gender-violence, injustice, illiteracy and religious prejudice on people’s mental health. The posters were inscribed with interesting and through-provoking headlines.
Speaking on the occasion, GCU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman has appreciated the artwork of the students.Daily Times.
