Lahore:June 18:The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), an apex body in technical education across the country, has accredited further 33 institutes of Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) with 239 programmes in view of their outstanding performance.
“The purpose of the accreditation is to ensure the quality of the institution and programmes being taught there. Accreditation of these Tevta institutes will be beneficial for the institutions, students, parents and employers,” said Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, chairperson of Tevta while addressing a meeting at Tevta Secretariat, according to a press release issued here on Friday.
Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi and other Tevta officers were also present.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that Tevta had further nominated 30 institutes for accreditation with NAVTTC. The institutional accreditation indicates that the accredited institutions are achieving further specified objectives in a satisfactory manner.
The credits earned from accredited institutions would be easily transferable/acceptable in other similar institutions, the Tevta chairperson said..The news.
