LAHORE:18 December: Punjab University Centre for Clinical Psychology (CCP) in collaboration with Pakistan Institute of Living & Learning (PILL) organised a workshop on ‘Qualitative Research Method: Introduction to Qualitative Interviewing’. Director CCP Dr Saima Dawood, Dr Saadia Asmeen, faculty members, MS, ADCP and PhD students participated in the workshop. In her address, Dr Saima appreciated the resource person for conducting an insightful workshop on the steps involved in conducting a qualitative research.

Lahore:December 18: Punjab University Library Club has organised introductory talk on two books to a gathering of scholars and students. On the first book “Splinterlands”, an interesting English novel written by John Feffer, Mr. Shahzeb Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of English Language and Literature, University of the Punjab, provided his scholarly insights.

International Conference English literature moot concludes

LAHORE :16 December: First three-day ‘International Conference on English Literature, Linguistics and Teaching’ (ICELLT 2018) with the theme “Interaction in English: Cross-cultural awareness and communication” concluded here on Saturday at University of Education, Township Campus. Renowned scholars and academicians such as Dr Caroline Clements, Dr Cara Cilano, Dr Robert Mckenzie and Dr Patricia Ann Pashby from leading universities of UK and USA attended the conference. More than 100 research papers were presented during the conference.

Punjab University schedule of admission fee & forms for B.Com

LAHORE:December 16: Punjab University has issued schedule for submission of admission fee & forms for B.Com part-I and II, annual examinations 2019. For regular candidates, the last date for submission of admission forms with single fee is March 7 (by hand) and March 4 (by post) whiles the forms can be submitted with double fee till March 26 (by hand) and March 19 (by post).

Student gathering calls for free education

LAHORE :December 16: A convention of hundreds of students belonging to different educational institutions of the country on Saturday demanded abolish free and restore students unions in the institutions. The event was held by a political organistation of students and youth at Bakhtiar Labour Hall at Laxmi Chowk. Ghairat Brigade Band singer Ali Aftab, classical singer Ustad Nasir Ali Khan, young poet Tehzeeb Hafi, Usama Zuraiz, Mazhar Ali Syed and others performed on the occasion.

Private schools to return 20pc fee to parents: minister

LAHORE:15 December: Punjab Minister for Schools Education Murad Raas has said 20 percent of the amount of fee received by elite private schools, that charge over Rs5,000 monthly fee from students, will be reimbursed to the parents of the students. Talking to the media outside Punjab Assembly here Friday, he said draft of proposed regularity authority to deal with matters pertaining to private schools was under consideration in Law Department and would presented in the next session of Punjab Assembly for approval.

Moot on English literature kicks off

LAHORE:14 December: A three-day 1st International Conference on English Literature, Linguistics and Teaching (ICELLT 2018) with the theme “Interaction in English: Cross-cultural awareness and communication” commenced here in Lahore on Thursday. The renowned scholars and academicians, including Dr Caroline Clements, Dr Cara Cilano, Dr Robert Mckenzie and Dr Patricia Ann Pashby from leading universities of UK and USA are attending the conference here at University of Education, Township Campus. On the first day of the conference, more than 40 research papers were presented.

King Edward Medical University and UHS workshop

LAHORE:December 7: Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) in collaboration with King Edward Medical University (KEMU) and University of Health Sciences (UHS) conducted a workshop on “Medical Editing and Publications” in council room of KEMU. Shakirullah Jan, PMDC President, was the chief guest of the workshop while UHS Vice-Chancellor Prof Javaid Akram and FJMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Aamer Zaman Khan were guest of honuor.
